Richness of the CorridorThe Rocky Mountain Technology Corridor is already fertile ground for innovation. For example, at least 1771 U.S. patents were granted in 2005 to individuals living in, or working for, entities in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Los Alamos. That accounts for one out of every 64 patents granted to Americans last year. The Corridor is home to a long list of business and industry, government, and educational institutions with a technology focus. As a result the region is a magnet for highly skilled knowledge workers and science/engineering professionals. |
