The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance’s Privacy Policy

Our Assurances:
The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance is committed to safeguarding your privacy. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. This policy may change from time to time, and any changes will be posted on the RMTA website.

We maintain member records and do not sell or license our member list. We reserve the right to provide records in response to subpoenas or other legal process.

When visiting our site, the Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance collects the information we need to provide the service you've requested.

For example, if you wish to inquire about our products and services, you will need to give us your name, e-mail, company and your specific interests in our organization. We will not share this information with others, except as set forth in this Policy, and as the law requires. You may instruct us to provide this information to take advantage of our business relationships with other companies.

What we collect:
In addition to registration information you provide, at the Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance web site, we collect information needed for the http standard which is automatically logged by the server. This includes your IP server address, browser type, referring page, document requested and access time. This information is used to help diagnose problems with our server, do performance and traffic analysis and administer our web site, including helping search engine priority. We do not use this information for profiling.

In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information in order to obtain additional services.

Email correspondence:
Any correspondence shared between The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance and a visitor to the site is strictly confidential. We may keep a record of that correspondence. We do not contact the accounts from which inquiries originate with any marketing message unless the inquiry is a request for that type of information.

Privacy Standards for The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance Customers:
Membership in The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance includes consent for each member to have access to the Member Profile data of all other members on a confidential basis. The Member Profile data of other members shall be used solely for contacting other members, for researching potential teaming arrangements, and for other purposes directly related to RMTA activities. Except for such limited internal use, such Member Profile data of other members shall be held in confidence, shall not be used for any purpose outside RMTA, and shall not be redistributed or sold outside RMTA. The Member Profile data discussed above is that data contained in the two-page Member Profile form attached to the Registration Form and Membership Agreement. Information submitted by members that is in addition to the Member Profile data (including member content submitted for other purposes) shall be treated as described in the Terms and Condition of Membership, which is attached to the Registration Form and Membership Agreement (see paragraph 2 entitled “Your Content”).

Privacy Standards for Children:
The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not let children under the age of 18 register with The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance.

Security:
No data storage or transmission over a network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a non-profit we use reasonable techniques within our resources to protect the integrity of information and databases. While we strive to protect your personal information, the Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us that we store. You do so at your own risk. We will remove your information from any networked computer when requested in writing by an authorized person.

Our policies are governed by Colorado law. Membership in our organization constitutes your consent to Colorado jurisdiction and venue. All claims will be settled by arbitration in Colorado Springs, CO conducted by the American Arbitration Association.
